We guarantee the quality of the products we use and the expertise in our hair styling & makeup artistry. We want you to feel empowered, pampered and well cared for. Whilst it is not compulsory to attend a preview session of your hair and makeup, we encourage you to come and meet your artist/stylist ahead of time to test your ideas, gain advice and professional recommendations to get the most out of your appointment. This will ensure your look is perfectly matched, along with addressing all your needs and any concerns. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy every step of this special process.

Terms & Conditions:
Please take note of the following important TERMS & CONDITIONS when booking hair and makeup services through Aurum Bride. We encourage you to read these User Terms carefully as they are a legal document and, upon making your booking, you agree to be bound by these User Terms. It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions, including all payments being made by the specified dates.

Hair & Makeup Appointments:

• All bookings are to be secured with a non-refundable booking fee within 24 hours of booking confirmation. The booking fee is 25% of the total appointment value.

• Payment confirmation is to be emailed through as proof.

• Due to the advance nature of our work, bookings are to be paid in full if inadequate notice given.

  48 hours’ notice of cancellation for single studio appointments.

  1 week notice of cancellation for single mobile appointments.

  8 weeks’ notice of cancellation or number reductions for group appointment.

• Remaining payment due 2 weeks before the date of the booking.

• Payment of the non-refundable booking fee confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Wedding and Group Hair & Makeup Appointments

All Wedding Makeup Bookings require a 25% non-refundable booking fee to secure the booking. The booking fee is a service that is provided in the lead up to the booking. This covers the cost of all administration and correspondence between suppliers and couples along with bookkeeping and insurance costs. This booking fee is then credited to the invoice if the booking proceeds. All bookings require a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice of cancellation, postponement, or reduction in numbers. Cancellation within this timeframe will require the remaining balance to be paid in full.  

Wedding bookings cancelled or postponed outside of this period forfeit their booking fee. Thereafter, if wishing to book a new date, a new 25% booking fee is required to secure the new date and I subject to availability.  

Aurum Bride will work with supplier and client requests regarding arrival and finish times. However, the final start and finish time is dictated by Aurum Bride based on their requirements and commitments for the day.  

If a client wishes Aurum Bride to remain longer than the allocated time to complete all makeup or hair, an additional fee will be charged at $100 per half hour. This needs to be discussed at the time of booking and may not be guaranteed. The client must also advise if there is a special request to remain for photographer makeup or hair images, or to remain on standby for veil placement.  

For smaller bookings (5 services or less), Aurum Bride reserves the right to commit to multiple bookings in the area and therefore will discuss with the client regarding appropriate times for each if necessary. Clients may request exclusivity of an artist for the date, subject to availability and a minimum rate of $1200 (equivalent to 8 services). Additional services will be added on to this fee if applicable. Exclusivity includes the services booked for the estimated timeframe only and that no other appointments will be accepted by that artist on your booked date.

Any difficult, threatening, unsafe, rude, or offensive behaviour towards Aurum Bride or affiliates will not be tolerated and will result in the termination of the contract with no refund of booking fee, nor refund of any additional payments if within the 8-week period prior to the booking date.  

In the event a person in the group falls ill or is contraindicated in the lead up or on the date of the booking, Aurum Bride reserves the right to decline a service to that person with no reimbursement of service fee. 

In the event there are time constraints due to venue check in or ceremony time, an assistant can be arranged at an additional cost. Assistants are subject to availability. Please advise of any constraints at the time of booking to avoid penalty.  

Early morning starts will be considered at a charge of $100 p/hr before 7am and are subject to availability. All bookings located outside of the Sunshine Coast will require a minimum of $900 (plus travel) to be paid. A minimum of $750 is required to book a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, all other days require $600 minimum spend to be paid, unless otherwise agreed to.  

The onus is on the client to prepare for their appointment accordingly to get the best possible results for their individual look. While Aurum Bride are experts in their field, there are limitations as to what can be realistically achieved for everyone. Clients are expected to follow the correct preparations for hair and makeup, which is provided in the consultation form at the time of booking. In the event of group bookings, the onus is on the client to communicate preparations to other members of the appointment.

Wedding Previews

Wedding previews are conducted strictly in studio on the Sunshine Coast, pending the location of the specific artist. The location of the respective studios will be communicated to the client directly to protect artist privacy. 1 hour 15min is allocated for each session and inspiration images and dress images are to be organised and on hand at arrival. Ensure when looking for inspiration images they are of similar age, hair, and eye colour. Aurum Bride recommends considering the artists portfolio or aligning your inspiration images with the artists’ style. Previews are to be completed during business hours Tuesday- Thursday subject to availability. Requests for Friday and Saturdays may be considered for special events but are at the discretion of Aurum Bride and subject to availability.

Preview costs are to be settled 1 week prior to the appointment. White or light coloured clothing should be worn to compliment preview service and images will be provided to the client on completion. It is also advised if you plan to tan for the wedding day to also have a tan for your preview, as well as tidy brows and recently touched-up hair colour if applicable. This is to ensure the finished look will be as close to that of the wedding day. Clients having a hair preview may bring their veil, hair accessory or earrings along. If the client will be having hair extensions these should be provided in either new or near-new and freshly cleaned condition. Please ensure you advise Rachel prior as more time may need to be allocated and any associated costs factored in.

Any changes or concerns with preview must be discussed prior to the booking date so appropriate products and planning can take place to ensure the day runs smoothly.

Clients are expected to follow the correct preparations for hair and makeup, which is provided in the consultation form at the time of booking.

Payment

For wedding bookings, a quote will be issued with the booking fee required within 24hrs to secure the quoted amount and date. Once booking fee has been received, a new invoice will be issued reflecting the remaining total of the booked services. Remaining total is required to be paid via Bank Transfer, Cash or Credit Card (1.9% surcharge) 8 weeks prior to Wedding date. Cash on the day may be accepted at the discretion of Aurum Bride. For all bank transfers, please advise Aurum Bride once payment has been made using the invoice number as the description, a proof of transaction receipt is required. Should you require a receipt at any time, please make this request.

Travel

A travel fee is applicable for all bookings and is charged at $80/hr to cover time taken to travel to and from the chosen location.

In circumstances where travel is required outside a 2.5-hour radius of Forest Glen, Sunshine Coast, accommodation, and meal charges may be applicable and should be discussed prior to booking being secured.

Travel for single bookings is at the discretion of Aurum Bride and quoted on top of the service amount regardless of distance.

Parking

In circumstances where parking fees apply, the client will be required to arrange and cover the charges when makeup services are being conducted. Onsite parking is suggested to be provided to avoid delays, any additional charges and to ensure adequate service time to avoid your experience being cut short.

Personal Information

Aurum Bride requires personal information regarding allergies. In no event, shall Aurum Bride or affiliates have any liability for incident or consequential damages however characterised. For example, eczema, sensitive skin, and eyes.

Photographs

Aurum Bride reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any makeup application and may use photographs for promotional and/or commercial purposes. If you do not wish to take part, you must indicate this either in writing to Aurum Bride or by the consultation form provided prior to the commencement of your service.

The client understands that once they pay the booking fee, they accept all terms and conditions, and are legally bound by this document.
