DISCLOSURE, TERMS AND CONDITION FOR HAIR STYLING AND MAKEUP ARTISTRY SERVICES WITH ELITE AV PTY LTD T/A AURUM BRIDE:
Satisfaction
We guarantee the quality of the products we use and the expertise in our hair styling, makeup artistry, spray tanning and vocational education. We want you to feel empowered, pampered and well cared for. Whilst it is not compulsory to attend a preview session of your hair and makeup, we encourage you to come and meet your artist/stylist ahead of time to test your ideas, gain advice and professional recommendations to get the most out of your appointment. This will ensure your look is perfectly matched, along with addressing all your needs and any concerns. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy every step of this special process.
Terms & Conditions:
Please take note of the following important TERMS & CONDITIONS when booking hair and makeup services through Aurum Bride. We encourage you to read these User Terms carefully as they are a legal document and, upon making your booking, you agree to be bound by these User Terms. It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions, including all payments being made by the specified dates.
Timing:
Time management is of the essence therefore adherence to appointment times is critical in ensuring that Aurum Bride delivers the service you expect and will be strictly adhered to. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, the onus is on the client to advise the artist/stylist on site as soon as practical. Aurum Bride is not responsible if desired completion time is not met due to client delays. Aurum Bride will notify the client of their arrival time upon booking using the timing information the client has provided. If the client needs to make changes, please request this as soon as possible and Aurum Bride will try their best to accommodate, though this cannot be guaranteed.
The artist/stylist’s timing varies depending on the service required and technical individual requirements of the client. When allocating service duration for wedding/group bookings we base this on our average time required for hair and/or makeup services. Average timing for makeup artistry is 45min - 1hr per person, hair styling is approximately 45min - 1hr per person. Extra time will be required for speciality makeup, cultural makeup, extra-long hair, extensive length or amount of hair extensions, intricate styling requirements, tattoo/special makeup camouflage, blow drying from damp and special hair types. If any of your needs fall into this category, please advise us in advance so we can try to ensure ample time is provided for your service. It is also recommended to email us hair or makeup photos in advance of your appointment. Specified times for all services other than previews are an estimate only.
Aurum Bride’s regular working hours are 7:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Sunday. Additional hours are by request. When we are required to start our commute to get to you outside of these hours, an outside of hours charge will apply of $110incl. gst per hour outside of our regular hours. We calculate respective travel time from our home base (Rosemount 4560 until approx. Aug 2024, Gold Coast from approx. Aug 2024).
Pricing:
Please note that all prices are subject to change. If you have already paid the booking fee then you retain the quoted rates invoiced at the time of booking for the respective booking. The retained rates are not exempt from outside of hours charges ($110 per hour before 7:00am QLD time), kit repacking fee ($55 for kit/s to be set up in a different room/ onsite area, per room/area, plus any additional travel charges (POA) due to change of appointment address or specification of appointment address other than our home studio.
Appointments/Bookings:
Appointments are subject to availability; please use our booking system here or contact us to confirm availability. To secure any appointment, you will be required to pay a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee which is deducted from the total cost of the appointment and will not be refundable or transferable under any circumstances. The booking fee amount is 25% of the appointment total or as specified on the quote or invoice or Acuity booking system. The remainder of the service must be paid either in correct cash on the day or service, or in advance no later than 7 days before the appointment date to ensure funds clear. We will not hold any appointments that have not paid their booking fee.
A hair or makeup preview session runs for a generous 1hr 30min from the appointment time. If you need more time and the artist/stylist is available to extend the time, this will be billed for at a rate of $100 per half hour and is due at the time of appointment.
It is recommended that you provide a similar photo example in advance of the appointment for clarity.
A 15% surcharge is applicable for any bookings that fall on a public holiday.
Preparations for Appointments:
The onus is on the client to prepare for their appointment accordingly to get the best possible results for their individual look. While Aurum Bride are experts in their field, there are limitations as to what can be realistically achieved for everyone.

Mobile service area requirements:
Onsite parking must be supplied for the artist’s vehicle. The client is responsible for all parking/valet fees where applicable. Our artists will not park in time limited street parking or offsite. Exceptions are made for low density streets that are untimed and relatively close to the appointment site.
Our makeup artists and hair stylists will require an adequate area to set up their hair/makeup station to deliver the service you expect. Where the area isn’t adequate, delays may be unavoidable. An adequate area is one free of clutter, with ample table or bench space, (coffee tables/low tables are not acceptable), ample natural lighting, limited foot traffic disturbances, along with access to a safe working power point, a bar/tall stool for makeup applications, a dining/low chair for hair styling, and a working basin with access to soap and running water.
Service & Office Hours:
Service hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Sunday. Understanding the special and unique nature of events and weddings, our artists/stylists can be available for additional hours by special request, by appointment only, subject to availability
Office/Phone hours: 9:00am – 4:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday. Please understand that we may not always be able to answer her phone if we are with clients. Please feel welcome to txt or email us for any non-urgent enquiries.
Payments:
The client scheduling the appointment will be responsible for full payment of all services in the event that other people in the wedding/group do not pay their portion. For all appointments the full remaining balance must be paid either in correct cash on the day or service, or in advance no later than 7 days before the appointment date to ensure funds clear. We will not hold any appointments that have not paid their booking fee.
Electronic payments that do not clear before the appointment date will not be accepted as payment of the appointment. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they reference the payment/s correctly by referencing the invoice number on their invoice and entering the correct bank details provided on the invoice.
Appointments can be booked online in live time. Clients requesting custom appointments that are not readily available for online booking will be issued an invoice whereby this appointment will be held no more than 24hrs. After this the appointment may be voided if the booking fee has not been received by us and the appointment may be offered to another interested party without prior notice. If you are having difficulty viewing, receiving, or paying an invoice, please contact us immediately. It is highly recommended that clients send a transaction receipt as proof of payment.
Failure to pay the full due balance will result in a final letter of demand which will be emailed to the address supplied, which if after seven days of this letter being sent full payment is still not made, Aurum Bride will pursue legal action to retrieve those funds plus late payment interest of 7.4% per month overdue and any legal fees Aurum Bride incurs whilst trying to recover the monies owed to us.
Refunds:
The booking fee is strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable under any circumstances. For all other balances, Aurum Bride does not offer refunds for appointments that are cancelled on short notice, (less than 30 days written notice for groups of 2 or more, and 48hrs written notice for preview appointments), due to the advance nature of our work. No refunds will be offered for any completed services; therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify the makeup artist or hair stylist whilst on location. Should you wish to meet Aurum Bride ahead of time and preview their style of work in advance of making an appointment for your occasion then we highly recommend that you see us for a preview session prior to making an event appointment with us.
Reductions:
All Friday - Sunday appointments are subject to a minimum call of 4 services or the equivalent rate of $700 incl. gst unless otherwise agreed to prior to securing the booking. If a reduction in numbers from the original hair/makeup appointment is requested, it will be not be honoured if notice is 30 days or less. A reduction in numbers for the service(s) may also mean that a travel fee will be applicable or may increase, as travel fees are decided on a case-by-case basis pending the size of the appointment and location. For reduced services, a higher travel fee may be applicable. Please ensure you choose your services carefully.
Cancellations:
All booking fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. This also applies to bookings that have been cancelled due to any reason, including relationship breakdown or financial problems.
Cancellation of any booking by you must be communicated in writing, by sms or email and will only be confirmed upon receipt of this. The number of monies retained or due is dependent on how much notice is given:
– With more than 30 days’ notice the booking fee is retained but nothing else will be due, and if additional payments have been made on top of the booking fee, these will be refunded, less any surcharges accumulated by Aurum Bride.
– With 30 days or less notice, the full appointment value is retained to cover Aurum Bride’s losses.
The full booking fee will be retained by Aurum Bride regardless of notice given or circumstance, due to administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your appointment.
The booking fee is strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable and retained in its entirety irrespective of the notice given or circumstances leading to cancellation. This policy is due to administrative costs and the potential loss of other bookings resulting from the allocation of the client's appointment.
Should the artist/stylist become unavailable for the event date, but the client has already received and paid for a preview session previously, there will be no refunds granted for completed services, therefore there will be no refunds granted for the completed preview session(s) despite event non-attendance or unavailability. Aurum Bride treats all bookings/appointments separately. There is no requirement by us for you to have a preview session.
Travel/Parking Fees:
A travel fee may be charged depending on distance required to travel. This is made clear in Acuity for popular locations including but not limited to the Gold Coast and Brisbane. All other locations will be quoted for upon request, otherwise it will be assumed to be a local appointment (Gold Coast from August 2024). If any hotel/motel and parking fees or uber fares are incurred as result of the location of the appointment and/or absence of available onsite parking for the artist’s vehicle, these will be passed on to the client as parking fees are not included in the quoted travel fee, pricelists, or any packages. If onsite parking is not available, you must notify Aurum Bride immediately so other arrangements can be made. Please be aware that parking delays caused by the client may result in the artist’s/stylist’s inability to start the service on time, finish the total service booked, and may incur an overstay fee of $100 per half hour due to delays or impair artist’s/stylist’s ability to get to the appointment at all. Aurum Bride recommends that onsite parking be arranged ahead of time to avoid disappointment or unwanted disruptions.
Extra people wanting styling:
If any additional people or additional services are required on the day, but have not been booked for, if the artist/stylist has availability to do this then payment can be made via correct cash on the day. It is recommended that you give Aurum Bride notice if others in attendance are wanting additional hair and/or makeup services so arrangements can be made. Aurum Bride recommends that services for hair and/or makeup are confirmed in advance to avoid disappointment where they may not be able to cater to any extra requests.
Exclusions:
Junior Makeup services are for children aged 12 years or younger and includes light conventional makeup without false lashes.
Full makeup includes makeup applications to the face, with optional applications to the neck, decolletage and hairline. Any other required applications will be charged for and quoted prior to application in the areas not included in our usual service, including but not limited to the back, chest and remainder of the body, particularly where extensive works and product applications are required.
Additional requests including glitters, speciality lashes, gemstones, eyelid tape/netting, bold/unusual pigments, SPFX and other special mediums need to be requested in advance which AURUM Bride will quote for. Aurum Bride does not usually carry speciality items in their kit unless requested and agreed to in advance. Please provide ample notice so arrangements can be made.
Should special or tattoo coverage be required, blow drying from damp or application of more than a standard set of 180gram human hair extensions please advise us in advance so timing and price can be quoted for/considered.
Health & Safety:
Aurum Bride is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to give advance notification to Aurum Bride if you or any of your group/wedding party have a hypersensitivity that you are aware of.
Aurum Bride reserves the right to stop work if there is any smoking, (including vaping), in or entering the vicinity of the makeup/hair styling area for their own health and safety.
Aurum Bride reserves the right to refuse service on any clients displaying contagious symptoms including but not limited to fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, malaise, and rash to ensure their own health and that of our other clients. Aurum Bride also reserves the right to refuse hair styling or makeup services on clients with head lice. Clients with lesions, recent surgery, injectables/filler, other skin/body concerns on or near the treatment area will be required to obtain a medical clearance from their Medical Practitioner before the appointment otherwise we may not be able to conduct the service(s) safely, so may have to refuse the treatment without refund.
Clients who are unwell should not attend an appointment as they will be refused service and also risk the entire appointment for anyone else to become voided without refund. In some instances, some clients will require medical clearance to proceed with an appointment. If you are unsure if this applies to you, please discuss this with Aurum Bride ahead of the appointment.
Children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children are not to be in the service area at any time unless they are having a service and are being supervised by a responsible adult. This is for their own safety; Aurum Bride uses very hot styling tools, operates electrical equipment and has very heavy equipment. Aurum Bride is not responsible for watching any children. Aurum Bride accepts no liability from any claims arising from any children’s injury while on location. Aurum Bride reserves the right to refuse service without refund for unmanagable children that they feel cannot be serviced safely.
For our own health and safety, Aurum Bride factors in their own rest and meal breaks when allocating timing to ensure we can produce our best work.
Aurum Bride reserves the right to refuse the lending out of her equipment to clients, other artists, or stylists and third parties.
Other:
Damages, theft or contamination to Aurum Bride’s property caused by any person, (including children), require on the spot compensation of equipment plus shipping costs of that equipment. This applies to damaged or contaminated items. The client will be held responsible for on-the-spot compensation for the replacement and shipping cost of the damaged item(s).
In the event that Aurum Bride is not able to attend the appointment to provide hair and/or makeup services on the scheduled booking date the limit of liability is to provide a replacement hair/makeup artist, or failing this, provide a full refund of all monies already paid for the hair and/or makeup for the directly affected appointment on the affected date only. For example, if a preview session has been booked and completed but Aurum Bride cannot attend the wedding appointment, the limit of liability is a refund of the wedding appointment only.
Aurum Bride will make every effort to ensure that the products used during the preview session will also be used on the event or wedding day. However, circumstances beyond our control, such as a supplier discontinuing a product, delays in restocking by a supplier, formulation changes, or Aurum Bride's decision not to restock a product for any reason, may prevent this from occurring. In such cases, Aurum Bride will endeavor to replace the product with a similar alternative.
Clients acknowledge that Aurum Bride may use any photographs, video or images taken for portfolio, website, social media, print and any advertisements or promotions.
